FARE INSPECTOR ATTACKED!
The TriMet employee had asked a man to see his MAX ticket, but was hit and knocked to the ground, said Sgt. Jim Shumway with the Beaverton Police Department.
Officers from the Beaverton Police Department were called to the MAX stop at Beaverton Central at 5:18 p.m. They used K-9s to search for the attacker, who is described as black and about 230 pounds.
As of 7 p.m. Sunday, no arrests had been made.
The victim is being treated for his injuries at
TriMet spokeswoman Bekki Witt said most of the fare inspector's injuries occurred when he fell to the ground.
