CLAYTON IN HEAD ON COLLISION!

Trimet driver Clay was involved in a head on collision on 82nd Avenue several months ago. The accident caused neck injuries and made it impossible for him to drive a transit bus. To make matters worse the offending driver, who crossed the double yellow line, attempted to flee the scene. Clay actually pursued the man in his wrecked vehicle. Bystanders thought that a movie was being filmed to scene was so surrealistic! Here is a picture of Clays wrecked vehicle.

IMPENDING 76-52

Well my signup is over and after almost 12 years I am finally going to get to experience the 76, a route that I have feared since coming to TRIMET.

After investigating complete with interviewing the current driver of this train I decided that maybe my fears are completely unfounded. The current driver actually loves this work.

I got this communication from one of my good pals who has done this route before;

HERE IS WHAT HE HAD TO SAY ABOUT IT:

I didn't want to work weekends during the summer. I drove the 76 with one 78 trip last spring right before they were combined with the 52. With that late of a start you will have absolutely no problem with traffic, I never did, so yes, you should get all of your breaks. The most memorable thing I remember about it was that one guy called me an albino nigger when I wouldn't let him bring his bike on board the bus. He and I were like the only two white people on the bus and if he was anywhere else but here, the bus passengers would have beat the shit out of him......
