AMY RUIZ-RUTHLESS LAWBREAKER

IT TURNS OUT THAT MERCURY REPORTER AMY RUIZ HAS BEEN INTENTIONALLY VIOLATING TRAFFIC LAWS BY RIDING HER BICYCLE RIGHT THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE ROSE QUARTER KNOWING FULL WELL THAT THIS WAS ILLEGAL UNTIL TODAY!

HERE IS HER EXACT QUOTE ON HER MERCURY BLOG:

"I've been cutting through the center for over a year now. With the lack of cars, and the fact that buses and light rail trains are oh-so-easy to spot and then avoid, I actually feel more safe cruising through there than I do on Vancouver/Williams."

DENNIS SPEAKS PART 2

ROSS RACER VISITS CENTER STREET GARAGE

On Monday I made my quarterly pilgrimage to the Center Street Garage to attend the Winter bus operator sign up. Here's what I saw:

A Ping Pong table! We need one of these at Merlo.

Bicycle Parking Garage. A nice dry, safe, and secure area.

Center Street may get all of the bells and whistles, but I'm still glad I work at Merlo.

Palin Doll Sent To Factory For Retooling

DETROIT (CAP) - Engineers of the plastic Sarah Palin doll, used successfully for both the Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric interviews, will transport the Palin 8000 to a retooling factory in Detroit due to "overstressed circuitry" caused by "extensive wear and tear" on the unit during its vice presidential debate and subsequent campaign stops.

"She's been a great little doll, answering questions with an impressive approximation of human speech," lead engineer Jack Landow said. "Yes, we sent her out with some minor bugs, but all in all, we're very proud of the Palin 8000."
